Patagonia (Valle Chacabuco Sector) and Pumalín Parks' Tourist Services Close from April 1 to April 30, 2019

After donating more than 407,000 hectares (over 1 million acres) to Chile to contribute to the creation of 5 new National Parks and the expansion of 3 others, Tompkins Conservation will officially hand over Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park and Patagonia National Park to CONAF (the national forest service of Chile) on April 30th.

In order to achieve an optimal transition, the campsites, restaurants, information centers, lodges and cabins in Pumalín and Patagonia (Valle Chacabuco Sector) will be closed between April 1 and April 30, 2019. However, trails will remain open to visitors for day use only.
